Privacy Principles

At TapFwd, we are committed to respecting consumers' privacy rights and optimizing advertising all at once. That is why, in addition to the formal Privacy Policy that applies to our website visitors, we have adopted the following Privacy Principles, which apply across our operations:

  • We Strive to Provide You with Choices. While we cannot keep your personal information off the Internet altogether, we can – and will – respect your request for us not to use your personal information. If you would like to opt out of our services, you may do so by providing us with your email address or by opting out through the Digital Advertising Alliance's AppChoices app.

To provide us with your email address, click here. We'll honor your request to the best of our ability. Please note that your opt out will only be effective for the email address you provide, so if you have multiple email addresses, we recommend that you opt out with all of them. Doing so helps us honor your request across all of the records we currently have or may receive from our clients in the future.

To opt out of our services and other mobile application providers through AppChoices, you will need to download the Digital Advertising Alliance's app to your mobile device (accessible here) and set it up according to the instructions. You can select TapFwd from the list provided, and the app will send us your mobile advertising ID directly. Please note that if you opt out through AppChoices, your opt out with us can only be effective if we have correctly associated your email address with a particular mobile device. In addition, if you have an iPhone and you have selected "limit ad tracking", the opt out request will not be readable to us.

We also help our clients honor the opt out requests you make with them. This means that you may opt out directly through them, and we will do our best to ensure that your request makes its way to us and is effective for all of the services we perform on our clients' records on their behalf.

If you believe that your choices were not effective, you may email us at privacy@tapfwd.com, and we'll work with you to remedy the issue.

  • We Strive to Keep Personal Information Secure. We do our best to secure personal data in our possession wherever possible. We may do this using hashes (unique values that don't reveal the underlying information), adopting partitions, limiting admin access, and using standard encryption – or with any other technique we can develop. No company can promise you perfect security, but we want you to know that securing the data in our care is extremely important to us and we prioritize the development of meaningful security mechanisms.

  • We Strive to Mandate Best Practices from Advertisers. We seek to ensure to the best of our ability that our partners and clients do not abuse their access to our services in any way that is detrimental to your privacy or the security of your personal information. We also seek to ensure that we and our partners and clients provide adequate notice to end-users of what happens with their data through our services.

  • We Always Welcome Your Comments and Concerns. If you find that our services have resulted in the display of ads that are inappropriate or that you feel infringe upon your privacy, you can always email us at privacy@tapfwd.com so that we may have the opportunity to make it right.

Website Visitor Privacy Policy

Welcome to the website located at tapfwd.com and related subdomains (the "Site"), owned and operated by TapFwd, Inc. ("TapFwd," "we," "us," or "our," as used in this Policy). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share information gathered from visitors to our Site ("you," "your", or "users" as used in this Policy). If you engage us to provide optimized ad delivery and targeting services, our data handling promises are set forth in our contract with you. In addition, the privacy policy of a third party (such as the provider of a mobile app) often governs the handling of end-user data in connection with our services and should be consulted for any questions about those practices. The policy below applies ONLY to Site visitors. Please see our Privacy Principles for further privacy practices adopted at TapFwd.

What We Collect

When you visit the Site, we log and store your IP Address and technical information about your visit like your browser type and how you progressed through the Site, where you abandoned it, etc. ("Usage Data"). If you visit from a mobile device, we may reference your device identifier or other information about where your visit originated.

In some cases, we offer you a dialog on our Site where you can enter other information that may be of a personal nature, such an email address for the purpose of receiving certain information from TapFwd, but which will be submitted directly from you to TapFwd ("Volunteered Information”).

We may place a small piece of software referred to as a "cookie" on your computer to help us collect this information. Cookies are small pieces of software code that assist us with certain website and advertising functions. The cookies we use are “persistent”, so they will stay on your computer unless you take specific action to clear them. As an advertising company, we use the latest technologies – including cookie technologies – so additional functions of these cookies may be added over time. However, we will never make a deliberate attempt to circumvent your efforts to remove cookies or opt-out of any specific advertising. You can remove this and other cookies through your browser preferences menu; the exact method varies depending on the type of browser you use.

How We Use It

Usage Data helps us monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, usage, and demographic patterns on our Site, diagnose or fix technology problems, and otherwise plan for, improve and enhance our Site or our business operations. We may also use Usage Data to target our own advertisements to you, including when you visit other sites or on your mobile device, through the use of a cookie. You can clear cookies from your machine in most browser types by revising your browser preferences or settings.

We use Volunteered Information for the purpose expressed at the time we collect the Volunteered Information on our Site.

We may use, combine, or use a combination of Usage Data, Volunteered Information, cookies, and data gathered through cookies to advertise to you or allow third parties to tailor advertising to you or perform analytics on your use of our Site or services.

If at any time you have any questions about our use of Usage Data, Volunteered Information, or cookies (how we use them or their functionality), you can email us at privacy@tapfwd.com and we'll explain in greater detail and to the best of our ability.

Sharing

We may share Usage Data with third party service providers or affiliates in the course of our operations or in connection with the display of first or third party advertising. We may also engage third parties to help us improve our business, such as analytics providers, and such parties may have access to aggregate or individual Usage Data and/or our cookies.

We may also disclose Usage Data, Volunteered Information, or other information under our control to law enforcement if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, to protect your safety or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or to respond to a government request, subpoena, warrant, or other judicial order.

Security

We care about the security of your information and use commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technological safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information we collect and, in some cases, share with our service providers. These safeguards include the application of industry standard security protocols for the transmission of data to and from our website and in the storage of data in our care. You should not transmit any sensitive or personal information using the Site except where we have created a specific dialog through which you can enter that information (for example, an email submission to us in order to receive product updates).

While we take reasonable precautions against possible security breaches, no website or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss or other breach will never occur. In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a security breach, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation. Where appropriate, we will notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Given our current technology, your activity on the Site does not always allow us to recognize or acknowledge Do Not Track signals.

Third Party Links

The Site may, from time to time, contain links to and from third party websites of our partner networks, advertisers, partner merchants, retailers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies. Please check the individual policies before you submit any information to those websites.

Children

We do not intentionally collect information on children under the age of 13. If you believe we have collected personal information from or received personal information about a child, please notify us immediately at privacy@tapfwd.com.
